Product (UI/UX) Designer- Full time

We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Product (UI/UX) Designer to join our team. As the first in this role, you will have an opportunity to build a design team.

What the role involves

• Produce designs to help the product team understand the desired customer experience, including high-fidelity wireframes, flows, prototypes, etc.
• Create intuitive interfaces and interaction layers using best practices and the latest web trends.
• Create design standards and style guides for products, reports, infographics, etc to lead all phases of the UX & design process: user research, concept development, visual design, and prototyping.
• Work with our engineers to effectively implement the product vision.
• Employ design thinking and work with leadership in design planning, developing product strategies, establishing goals and execution plans
• Analyze customer requirements, user profiles, and tasks
• Identify and solve usability and UI design problems
• Define and document messaging standards both on our websites and social media.
• Collaborate closely with other subject matter experts, developers, marketing teams, and other business stakeholders

You Have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Mathematics, Computer Science or relevant field
• 3-5 years of experience crafting and execution of product design work
• A strong portfolio that demonstrates UX and visual skills in digital products
• Shipped commercial digital products
• Ability to think at a high level about product strategy
• Extensive knowledge of designing easy to use and intuitive products
• Relevant understanding of best practices and trends in UI/UX design
• A strong portfolio that demonstrates UX and visual skills in digital products
• Empathy and understanding of small businesses and how to empower them
• Outstanding verbal and written communications skills
• High standards for consistency and are extremely detail-oriented
• Passion for working in a fast-paced startup culture where there are ambiguity and constant change
• Knowledge of wireframe tools and design tools

• You’ve designed apps that focus on Human Resources and/or fintech
• Experience or expertise in subscription-based product design.
• Understanding of the front-end frameworks for different platforms (e.g., React, Angular, iOS, Android).
• Working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
